Chapter 1- Remembered
Weird Words Used List
None :(
Sudden shift in POV. I think it is the aforementioned "soul". She is talking about her new body and how it feels. We find out that these souls randomly lack the sense of smell. The host body died because she was being chased and then she was killed.
Oh noes! The host body is speaking! But I thought it was dead? Then there is a vivid memory of a guy. I think. Maybe it's Edward? But she hasn't used the words "perfect", "marble", or "Adonis" yet. I count that as a win. Oh wait, never mind. The face is beautiful. And the host body, referring to the face, I imagine, says "mine." Stephenie Meyer seems to think that when you are in love, you belong to the other person. This was very very evident in Twilight, and apparently it is going to be referred to in The Host.
And apparently this host body is the first human to be able to talk back to their host. It wouldn't be a Stephenie Meyer book without a couple of Mary/Gary Stus.
And that ends chapter 1.
