I had a really weird dream last night. Stacey bought tickets to go to the Bright Eyes concert and she invited me (even though I don't like Bright Eyes) and then SHE LOST THE TICKETS. I think she bought another pair from a scalper or something. Anyway, we got in. We were in almost the front row, and he was singing covers for some reason. At one point he sang What I've Done (now that I think about it, it could have been Bleed It Out) and the audience was singing along and then they did this weird dance move to a line, and I was like, "um...I don't remember that part" and the guy next to me complained because someone spilled a white russian on the floor in front of him. Anyway, after the show, a giant Oscar statuette went rolling down the street. I think it was a promo for the Oscars. Anyway, everyone was following it except me and I saw Conor Oberst (I think that's how you spell it) on a bike and I waved and he gave me the finger! He was a real asshole in my dream. Then I saw him in a white van and I thought my mom was driving! But when I blinked it disappeared (sort of akin to leprechauns). This happened lots of times, until I finally caught them and I was like, "Mom! You're Conor's driver! We can meet him!" but for some reason she kept this from me. So anyway, we got into the van and he was really mean for some reason. Mom said he was really antisocial and he needed to talk to people. And then Stacey freaked out, I think from the enclosed space of the car and Mom thought she was puking so she pulled over and it turns out a really big bug was on Stacey's arm, and I was really embarrassed. Oh I forgot at the concert Seleho was there for some reason. I waved at him and he's like, "I didn't know you like Bright Eyes!" and I was like, "well, I don't, but Stacey had tickets." And he was like, "I told Maria Bright Eyes was in town but she wasn't excited." And then I woke up.
Anyway. I got 98% on my Bio quiz today. W00t. She wrote "wonderful" beside my mark. Who even says wonderful anymore? I don't.
French is getting easier and easier every day. So that's awesome. Too bad people in France don't talk with huge overexaggerated hand gestures. If that was the case, I would have no problem understanding them.
English B30 is so much better than English A30. But it slightly seems like Reuven and Danny are heading towards a homosexual relationship. We shall see. Falicia thinks Reuven's name is Rover. We had an exam on The Chosen yesterday and Mr. Digout subtracts 1% for each grammar or mechanical mistake we make. We did a practice question and I got one capitalization error, one colloquialism error, and four pronoun/antecedent error. I know what the capitalization thing was, I know what the colloquialism was, but I am not understand the p/a error. Sometimes he would put the mark beside a line that didn't even have a pronoun. I was confuzzled. He didn't explain pronoun/antecedent to us on Monday (He spent practically the whole hour on tense. Who DOESN'T know what verb tense is?) so I tried to remedy these problems by not using pronouns at all. The result is I sound like a four year old child in my writing, but maybe I won't get docked marks. I live in hope.
Anyway, the verb tense thing reminded me of a story I had to peer edit for Tyler in creative writing. I believe it was about a guy who was in jail and was recounting the story of how he got there. It was a good premise, but he switched back and forth between his verb tenses! And at the beginning it was established that he was in jail, but at the end he said he was in the cop car thinking about his crime. I don't understand how he could switch tenses like that. So I wrote down "stick with one verb tense, since you seem to be moving back and forth" and HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. He was like, "um...what's a verb tense?"
Here are my marks and comments and whether the final brought it up:
CE- 85, a pleasure to have in class, no final.
Rock Band- 85, none, none
English-88, I enjoy reading your work, went up 2%
Psych-89, can't remember, up 1%
History- 91, wrote an excellent final, up 1%
Anyway, that's about all my news for now. Ciao.
