Something's scratching its way out...

Last night I had my window open because it is FINALLY warm outside, and I
heard something walking around and Scottie started barking and I looked out
and it looked too small and dark for Dallas. I think it was an alien. It
kind of freaked me out.

So, we had a joint service in Wynyard today for Glen's induction. I asked
Maria to come but SHE HAD TO WORK. And then we asked her family to come for
coffee but they have to go to a potluck or some damn thing, and Maria, if
you're reading this I AM SO PIDDLED OFF AT YOU RIGHT NOW.

So anyway, Mom and I went in early because we were playing Pachelbel's
during communion. We were good in practice, but I'm sorry to say, I was so
nervous that I butchered it. Can you blame me? The freaking bishop was
there. I got a bunch of compliments though. Thank goodness for old and
deaf people. I also had to lead the psalm, which was relatively painless
(except I had to figure out a way to pronounce Negev) and then I
unexpectedly had to hold the bishop's crozer (sp?) which is the shepherd's
crook that he holds, and his book. I basically had to stand up at the front
while a bunch of other people talked and hold this crook. I was the only
one under forty there, and everyone was mostly over 60. So, being the
youngest one, I had to do a lot. Then we went downstairs and had lunch.
There were a bunch of unidentifiable dishes (crazy Wynyardians) and someone
brought really good broccolli/cheese rice. And there was really good angel
food cake. A deaf old lady was sitting beside me and she yelled everything.
It was funny.

Everything's melting! Yay! I went out today to check out the river, and it
is flowing quite nicely. The best thing is there's still ice underneath so
you can basically walk wherever you want without it going over your boots.
I went over to where the bridge used to be (yes, after approximately four
years, it is finally washed completely away) and it started to get really
deep so I headed back. Spooky (Borson's dog) kept barking at me/Scottie.
As I sit here, the bottoms of my jeans are soaked. I can't wait till
Jessica comes home so we can go out and play in the water. I remember when
Jessica, Kaleigh, and I were out there and I was standing over a really deep
part and I was like, "I'm going to commit suicide!" and Jessica was like,
"Noooo!" and she started running across to me and she jumped on a little ice
island, and it snapped, flooding her boots, and then it snapped again, and
she was practically up to her knees in water. It was sooo funny.

I had a dream that Lindsay got a new boyfriend who looked like Jess from
Gilmore Girls, and his name was Danglars (guy in Count of Monte Cristo). I
remember thinking he was really really hot, and I felt bad because Lindsay
was dating him.

I just saw a shadow on the screen, and it looked like a little black thing
leaped in front of the window. WEREWOLVES. Like the thing that was outside
my window last night. This is creepy.

I'm going to go get a homemade doughnut (not donut, n'est-ce pas, Maria?)

Ciao.
