Okay, today we will cover a wide range of topics! First and foremost, I burned a cd! Yay! Here are the artists:
Amy Diamond, who is a thirteen year old Swedish singer who is AWESOME! (thanks to Amanda for making me download the song) Atreyu, Billy Talent, Coheed and Cambria (woot! Thanks to Jessica for telling me abou them), Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson since I've heard it five million times on Much, Led Zeppelin cuz Uncle Terry wants me to learn a song on guitar, My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, Something Corporate (now I've heard every song except for one or two), Sum 41 (Still Waiting, I LOVE THAT SONG) Spill Canvas, Dashboard Confessional, and Cool People Suck by Perfect Chaos, which is a hilarious song.
Okay, now I will talk about band camp! First of all, rec! My rec team was called Pineapple, and on our second day we had to do an egg drop, which is where we got a paper bag, a stryofoam cup, paperclips, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, and tape and we had to make a contraption so that when our egg was dropped it wouldn't break. Sadly, ours was the first to break. The next day we had a talent show, where we had to reenact a small scene from a movie using animal sounds instead of dialogue, and we did Titanic, and the scene where the boat hits the iceberg, and then Jack and Rose swim away, and apparently the duck sounds were hilarious. Then there was Kristen, who was a wave, going "caw! caw!" I was an awesome half a boat. That role took a lot of talent. Surprisingly, we got FIRST PLACE! One group did Star Wars, where the words are scrolling at the beginning. They were singing the theme song, except they were going "moo moo moo etc." and they would kneel, and then the front row would go behind, and it was kind of cool. Then we had to do Olympics, which was a relay with the events being as follows: we had to carry a water balloon between two people without holding it in our hands or anything like that. Kristen and I squished it between our arms. Then we had to carry an egg on a spoon, then we had to eat two crackers and hum or whistle, then we had to play on the kazoo. We had a crappy one, so I could only do like two notes. Then we had to do a wheelbarrow race. Kristen and I went, with her on the bottom and me holding her legs, and at the finish line she just collapsed and was like "PINEAPPLE" (we had to say our team name so we could get checked off) and then we had to go four times or something, so I went again, but I was on the bottom, and that was complete torture! I collapsed where Kristen collapsed but I had to go a little farther! Then we had to have someone on piggyback, and Kristen just jumped on me and was like "you're taking me!" Then we had to run and dump a cup of water over our heads. It was so hot, so we're all like "I'm going!" So anyway, we're not sure what place we got, but it was in the top five. Apparently we all got points depending on how good we were, and Pineapple won second place!!!! I got a comic book! Woot!
Okay, I was a second alto sax, and we got the crappiest parts for this song called Lassus Trombone. We had 12 measures of just quarter note F sharps. GO ALTO SAX 2!!
I only went to two out of four evening recs. The first was bowling, and for ten pin they have that electronic scoring, and they make up names, like birds or baseball teams or whatever. Our theme was Star Wars, and I was HAN SOLO!! I wanted to be R2D2 or Darth Vader, but those were taken. Anyway, I always thought I sucked at bowling, but I got second place out of the six people on our team. Stupid Kenny kept beating me. Once I hit all the pins except one, and it said I got a spare. That was kind of weird. and Another time I hit all the pins except for the middle two, and the extreme right and left two, and I hit the middle ones and the one on the left. It was awesome! The other thing I went to was the staff recital, which I talked about already. There was also swimming, which I didn't go to, and the other was a dance/movie and Mom took me to Star Wars 3 instead, which I will talk about in another post.
In Saskatoon we saw an area blocked off with police tape! It was so cool! I like going down the bad street (the one with the Salvation Army on it) because you see the potheads and scary people, and once I thought I saw a guy with a gun, and he was waiting to cross the street and we were at a red light, so we were right by each other for like THREE MINUTES! It was awesome.
So, that was my week. Katherine or Maria, call me because I MISS YOU GUYS!! Hey Heidi, I downloaded Vindicated. It's an awesome song. Everyone download Welcome to the City by Amy Diamond. It's techno-ish, and I don't normally like techno, but I like that song! Ciao!

We didn't have a big part in Lassus Trombone as compared to the alto sax 1s. You don't know anything about it, you're not in band, so stop talking about things you don't understand.
And it's saxes, not saxs. What is wrong with you? Ian is turning your brain to mush.
blah blah blah I am no longer sharing my awesome music with you robin
Why not?
Yorkyon? Woot!
