Video on Trial-Robin's Way

The videos I am critiquing is Wake Up Call by Maroon 5.

0:02- The obligatory non-acting by the lead singer. "You lied," he tells his girlfriend, who is an Edie Sedgwick doppelganger with brown hair. "I know," she replies. "Don't worry about it," he says, suddenly all right. "The whole thing is my fault anyway." DUH! I've seen this video. You killed someone. Of course it's your fault.

0:41- And, the obligatory sex scene that is so prevalent in what seems like every Maroon 5 video. Adam Levine is so horny, he is taking every opportunity to do it with someone.

0:51- I love how there are copious amounts of closeups on Adam Levine and only fleeting glimpses of his bandmates.

0:59- My bad, that wasn't Adam Levine before. It was someone else banging his girlfriend, and now Adam's gunning for a fight! Oh wait, it will mess up his perfectly coiffed hair.

1:02- I love the random sentences spelled out onscreen. It's like closed captioning. Nice of Maroon 5 to think of their deaf fans.

1:08- That dude just shoved Adam's girlfriend! Do not mess with a guy in a wifebeater.

1:12- Adam Levine shot that bastard! That guy totally doesn't look dead. Faulty acting, there.

1:21- Okay, this music video is supposed to look like a movie. But so far, only Adam has been part of a cohesive plot. I have no idea what the other bandmates are doing. One's just kind of standing around looking pretty. Oh wait, he's receiving a briefcase! Shady... One's talking on the phone.

1:36- Random images are now being interspersed in the video. Subliminal messaging? Perhaps.

1:50- Those two gagged and tied girls look suspiciously happy/seductive. YOU'RE GAGGED! Someone's going to kill you! Maybe they're trying to seduce their kidnapper.

1:51- Now they're ungagged. I don't understand.

1:56- More random images involving debauchery.

1:57- One guy just got a bottle smashed over his head. That had to hurt!

2:07- One band member is running away from a dog. Another one got a mugshot taken. I don't know what's going on.

2:22- So now, the girlfriend is helping Adam Levine dump the body over the bridge. I believe that's a main bridge. Wouldn't someone notice? And was she not the one having the affair in the first place? Why is she helping hide the body, and why isn't Adam Levine angry with her as well? This music video doesn't make sense. Adam Levine is a cuckold.

2:41- Ah yes, nothing like a crime of passion to bring two people together.

2:46- That was a very nice explosion. But a little excessive maybe? Not to mention that will draw people's attention. I thought the whole point of murder was to attract as little attention to yourself as possible.

2:55- Now he's in a race? What? Incidentally, drag racing is illegal. As is murder.

2:57- What is up with those girls on the boat? They used to be gagged! What happened?

2:59- Random images of strippers and body parts.

3:42- Now Adam's in jail, and I believe he's in the electric chair. Isn't that outlawed?

3:44- Ha ha, he is dead.
