Okay, first of all, I had a terrible terrible time signing in here. I've always used my hotmail address, and all of a sudden it has to be my gmail, and I got my password wrong several times and several times I forgot to type in the code at the bottom and I DO IT ALL FOR YOU, NON READERS!
So, anyway, Heidi took me off her Facebook friends list for no apparent reason. Whatever.
Here has been my day so far:
7:30- Woke up, opened a card (20 bucks), went to see if I had a present (yes) but decided to get ready before opening it. Delayed gratification.
7:35- Checked Facebook, received birthday wishes from September 11th birthday Facebook group, and Amanda (my cousin).
7:50- Received call from Baba. Blundered out into the cold house in a towel to get the phone.
7:55- Received call from Dad. He sang happy birthday.
8:10- Opened present from the 'rents. Toiletries to keep at my other house, post-its, Toblerone chocolate, and pictures of a suitcase and Supernatural season 2, because Mom doesn't have them yet. I'm really lucky Supernatural comes out near my birthday.
8:50- Got to school. Received birthday wishes from Maria, Tamara, Rochelle, and Jackie.
8:55- English class. Watched presentations. Hoped against hope that I wouldn't be called. I wasn't. Jenna came in with a dog that apparently ran up to her outside.
9:50ish- History class. Corrected stuff. Cally randomly called out happy birthday to someone named Zach, and then later realized he wasn't in the class. I call her Malerie in the oasis of my mind.
11:00ish- Spare. Telane ate half my lunch and spilled macaroni on herself. She pressed the buttons for me on the vending machine, as per usual. She said she was going to buy me a coffee for my birthday, but she used it to buy orange juice for her cold. How the orange juice helps, I have no clue. She gave me a weird birthday wish on a post-it. Thank you Telane. I finished my CE, answering questions about myself.
11:50- Lunchtime. Waited for Maria. We walked to the Regional, bought stuff at their cafeteria, and found Katherine. We told her the story of our weekend, and then walked back to Sacred.
12:40- CE. We handed in the aforementioned questions (Mr. Jewitt, be advised, I sound slightly insane in my answers.) I teased Felicia about her little Jewitt crush. Then we read about Marisa, who is worried about prejudice against Hispanics in her math class (What? Who ever hears prejudice against Hispanics?) and about Joe, a slacker type whose dad wants him to go into the Navy and/or post-secondary, but he wants a fantasy job where he has enough money to pay rent and get a nice car and enough time off to go hunting, skiing, and fishing. Good luck with that, Joe. Good luck. Like the great philosopher Jagger says, you can't always get what you want. BUT if you try sometimes, you get what you need. Mr. Jewitt and Derek (?) got into a kind of battle of wits over the semantics of working on the rigs. I think Mr. Jewitt won, even though Derek had plenty of conviction.
Now- I'm in psych. My partner and I finished our very interesting powerpoint about fetuses (fetii?) yesterday, so we have nothing to do until approximately 2:29, when I get to go home and relax! Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, as the case may be, we have had no more drug induced meltdowns, so psych has been pretty tame.
You know what's cool? When mail comes RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR. It's pretty awesome, all things considered.
Yesterday, I was very excited to watch Eureka, but it turned out to be vaguely underwhelming. But I'm giving it another try. I watched Blood Ties yesterday, which was quite good. There wasn't much Henry, which was disappointing for me, personally. He went to a club and bit some girl on the neck (he's a vampire) which seemed to be arousing for her (I don't get the attraction. I mean, SHE WAS BLEEDING. I'd be calling for an ambulance) but something confuses me. He seems to be a good vampire, I mean, he doesn't bite people. Or at least Vicky. But wouldn't this bite turn her into a vampire? I'm pretty sure he has a conscience. Or at least, a glimmering of a conscience. Harper from Andromeda was in that episode.
And, here is a list of actors who can't escape from the sci-fi universe:
Nicholas Lea-Krycek in X-Files and he was in a movie about insect monsters from outer space.
William B. Davis- CSM in X-Files, professor on Supernatural, and some creepy guy on Andromeda.
Gordon Michael Woolvet (Michael Gordon Woolvet?)- Harper in Andromeda, random guest star on Blood Ties.
Chris Owens- Jeffery Spender on X-Files, Incubus on Dresden Files, reporter on Stargate SG-1.
Nameless guy- Some guy on The Lone Gunmen, FBI guy on X-Files, doctor on Stargate SG-1.
Christopher Judge- Teal'c on Stargate SG-1, AI on Andromeda.
Michael Shanks- Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1, AI on Andromeda.
Lexa Doig- Rommie on Andromeda, Carolyn Lam on Stargate SG-1. Incidentally, she is married to Michael Shanks. Can you imagine how much their kids would be teased?
Random woman- Satanic teacher on X-Files, evil woman on Supernatural.
Random woman #2- Abductee AND generic redshirt on X-Files, Layla's mom on Supernatural, and she played an alien TWICE on Stargate SG-1.
That's all for now. Ciao!
