Ms (CS, IP): She basically said everyone gets frustrated in CS and I got the
second highest mark in the class (!) which was TOTALLY unexpected. She said
I was really smart, blah blah blah. And I was scared of going to see her.
Silly me.
Mrs Hack (English): I'm awesome, no problems, blah blah.
Mr. Halyk (Chem and History): Chem-wise, he said our class was like a bunch
of bubbles, and some of us haven't popped yet. I have not popped yet,
meaning I haven't really totally gotten it yet. How I'm getting 88, I have
no clue. Like, I seriously only get what we're doing the day before a test.
Which is convenient. History, he said I was doing really good, and to
speak up more, and not to wait until we have a test to tell him what I
think. He says he realizes it might not be in my nature to speak up in
front of people I'm not really comfortable with, but he looks forward to
hearing what I have to say. He says I'm really good with the written word.
Which is handy for Maria.
It actually surprises me how much of my psychology my teachers know. Like,
Ms. knows I'm frustrated in CS (which I guess isn't that far of a stretch)
because I have to figure things out myself, and Mr. Halyk knows I'm not, in
fact, stupid, but that I just don't enjoy airing my opinions in front of
people I don't really know/like.
What happened today...chem, no clue what I'm doing, but that's okay because
I'll probably get it before our test.
History, we watched a movie about Oskar Schindler. Okay, supposedly
Schindler is a huge hero, and I mean, he saved a thousand Jews, I'm not
saying that wasn't a great thing, but he didn't do it because it was the
humane thing to do. The impression I got was that he saved them because
they were cheap labour for his factory so he could make a mint. He was a
philandering, boozing, and money-spending dude who treated his wife like
crap. He left her in South America with no money, so he could go and take
monetary gifts from Jewish people to support himself. GET A FREAKING JOB
SCHINDLER.
English, we had a test. And it was really weird, because there were nine
questions, and the test was out of sixty. You weighted your own questions
and you could answer as many as you wanted, as long as it added up to sixty.
I think I did pretty good. Now that I looked back though, I weighted some
of my questions out of 10 and I think I might not have written enough. But
they took up half a page of foolscap, so I think so. My 13 mark question
(the largest weighted) took up about a whole page. I mostly just made up a
whole bunch of crap with a lot of important sounding words. Yay me.
Finished my sweet movies of the 30's essay. I like it. Except for the fact
I sound like an old lady and that I have a bunch of quotes and Mrs. Hack
will get them, but probably no one else will. They'll probably all be
thinking, "what a loser, she likes black and white movies" but I'm past
caring. I'M NOT CONFORMING! I WILL NOT JOIN THE HERD.
Anyway.
Ciao.
