and I had interesting conversations on the way. Among other things, we
talked about humour, how humour is different now as compared to twenty years
ago, and ghosts. I drove the standard to Wadena! It was fun, yet
confusing. Clutch in, switch gears, clutch in, switch gears again, when to
switch, trying to stay in your lane while switching, pressing the clutch
instead of the brake and vice versa...it's sooo confusing. At one point I
had to turn, which pretty much stymied me, and I stopped on the shoulder to
think about what I was doing.
We got to grandma's at about 10:30, and I went straight to bed. The next
morning we played Hand and Foot. Grandma and I lost. We were teasing mom
because Auntie Myrna was doing all the work and mom had all these little
cards. The second game we played I couldn't get into my foot AT ALL and it
was so annoying. Then my Uncle Neale came and Auntie Myrna was ranting
about something, and then mom ranted about something, and then Uncle Neale's
like, "Robin, what do you hate? Let's hear from you!" So I talked about
book-movie adaptations. Then Mom ranted about Christian bands. She's like,
"who are they to say they're Christian and these other bands aren't?" I was
like, "What are they supposed to call themselves? And if the other bands
were offended about these bands calling themselves Christian bands, they
would say they were Christian. I don't understand the big deal. What did
Auntie Myrna hate...I can't really remember, but Grandma was talking about
how she hates some haircuts today. My family is so exciting to be around
sometimes.
On Ukrainain Easter I learned about something called the Trent Situpon.
Basically, when Trent women (my grandma's maiden name) gain weight, it goes
to their situpon (guess what that is). I don't want a big ass! Couple this
with the fact that Magera (Baba's maiden name) women lose their hair, I'm
doomed to be an ugly old lady. It's worse for Jonas, I think. The Morton
(Mom's maiden name) men lose their hair early. My Uncle Neale is almost
completely bald. My cousin Dion started losing his hair in his early 20's,
only he was in denial for the longest time. He wore his cap ALL THE TIME,
and he went bald on top, mostly from the cap, and grew his hair out long
everywhere else. In theory, he had a skullet, but I never saw it since he
never took his cap off. I can see Jonas's scalp through his hair, and his
hairline is receding. As far as I know, the Tuningley (Oopa's mom's
maiden's name) people and the Tarnowetzki people don't have any curses.
Kaleigh came over early this morning (early=ten) to do homework because her
internet doesn't work. She's missed a lot of school because of her
gallstones and has a huge bio report due, and two tests. Plus, her grandma
died and her baba broke her hip or something. Mom gave her family a bunch
of food and Kaleigh said she's basically been living off of it.
It's the Dresden Files season finale tonight. I'm hoping that they'll play
all the episodes over again because I've missed one, possibly two, episodes.
I'm still confused as to why imdb.com says that Susan Rodriguez has been
in 11/12 episodes, when I can't remember ever seeing her once. I think
someone made a mistake.
It's 5:55. Was anyone thinking about me?
Ciao.
