you, Maria). I'm the only one in my family without glasses. Dr. Popick
makes me look at lines of letters and tell him which one is blurrier, etc.,
and after awhile, they all look alike. And he kept making me read the line
of letters, and I know it was the same line all the time, but I think I gave
about five different answers. The O and C look alike, and the K and Z, and
the R and B. It was confusing.
Today the funniest thing happened. In history, we were talking about the
aftermath of WWI and Mr. Halyk was like, "after WWI everyone had to do a
complete 360 in their thinking," and he said that a couple of times, and
then he looked at Nolan and he's like, "Nolan, you're on the verge of
laughter." And Nolan's like, "yup," and Mr. Halyk's like, "why?" and Nolan's
like, "well, if they did a 360, wouldn't they be facing the same direction?"
and I burst out laughing but no one else did, and then I really had to work
to keep my laughter in because no one else was laughing. Mr. Halyk noticed
me kind of smiling to myself and he's like, "Tarnowetzki, you look pretty
smug," and I'm like, "it's funny," and he's like, "you didn't think of it
though," and I just shrugged and Mr. Halyk's like, "Nolan: 1. Me: 0.
Robin:... 0.5." (Remind you of anything Maria?) It was funny. I hate it
when I keep wanting to laugh but I can't because no one else is and I'll
look weird and I have to work to stay sober. The funniest thing was that
Nolan was just sitting there letting Mr. Halyk keep saying 360, and he was
laughing to himself everytime, and I bet he wasn't going to tell anyone.
I don't think there's anything else to report. I'm sick of CS. Ms. never
helps. I'm like, "Ms, my program won't stop after they've guessed the
password three times," and she's like, "you need a condition." Well, duh.
I knew that, and I had one. Miranda finally got help from Ms (we have to
print out a list, and I don't see why Ms. doesn't just come to our
computers. She claims she doesn't want to write the program for us, but she
wouldn't do anything differently if she just came to the computer) and I
just looked at hers.
I've decided to drop House. Before, you knew House was an asshole but you
still liked him. Now, he's just a selfish asshole who doesn't appreciate
the kindness of others, and I just hate him. It seems like they're
sacrificing the integrity of the show by focusing on House's flaws instead
of the medical mysteries that made the show so intriguing. For example, in
the ep on Tuesday, he faked cancer so he could participate in experiments of
a new drug that was supposed to help with depression in cancer patients. He
basically wanted a drug in the pleasure centre of his brain so he could get
high. How can you still like someone after that? And then there's the
whole thing where his team and Wilson and Cuddy risked everything to keep
House out of jail, including Cuddy perjuring herself on the stand, and he
doesn't even care. Cuddy was willing to risk going to jail to help House,
and he doesn't even thank her. He disgusts me. The show disgusts me. And,
to top it all off, House is the latest show to jump on the Lost bandwagon
and only have the titlecard, but no intro. House is like the middle aged
man trying to fit in with his son's friends. Why didn't David Shore stay
with the format of the show that made it a true hit? Newer is not always
better.
