I have been gone a lot for my mom's choir. I play keyboard for three songs, guitar for two songs, claves for one, shakers for one, and a drum for one. I also control the music (when the choir goes in and out I have to turn the music on and off) I don't actually do that much, seeing as how shakers, claves, and the drum take no talent whatsoever. Alison (the accompanist) wanted me to play Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and I think she overestimated my abilities, because wow, was I bad at that song (I was sight reading) and it's not a hard song but it goes soooo fast and I hope no one could hear me.
The freakiest thing about Roblin is how all the children worship me. I am dead serious. I came into mom's classroom and this girl who I have never seen before but know her name is Emilie, ran up to me and was like, "ROBIN!!" and hugged me, and then she hugged me again later. I have never met her in my life. And then I went into her classroom again, and the grade two's were there and they were all like "hi Robin!" and when I left they were all like, "bye Robin!!" It's kind of creepy.
I got my hair streaked today. It's supposed to be blonde and red but the red looks purple. Whatever, it looks okay. And I just thought of something. I'm going to go see Miss Menzie to tell her I'm quitting band and she might go "Did you get your hair coloured?" and I'll be like, "yeah," and she'll be like, "it looks nice," and I'll be like, "Thanks. I'm quitting band." Which could get awkward. I had nightmares about quitting band. Miss Menzie went nuts when I quit and she was like, stalking me. I was sitting in the car with Kendra for some reason, and I saw Miss Menzie coming down the street towards me and I was like, "I have to get away!" and I started the car but I didn't have my license so I couldn't go anywhere. Then she was like, "why are you quitting band?" and she sounded all plaintive, and I got so mad because I was giving all these excuses like, I wanted to concentrate on piano or math or whatever, and she kept asking why, and I'm like, "don't you get it Miss Menzie? I hate you!" and she started crying.
In better news, I went shopping yesterday and got this kickass leather jacket for twenty bucks. I've always wanted a leather jacket, and one was on sale! It was so insanely fortuitous, because I wasn't going to go into Stitches but I had time to kill so I just decided to check it out (the 50% off sale didn't hurt either) and something else very coincidental is that the weather has warmed up enough for me to wear it. The fur on the hood comes off, so I unzipped it and it looks like some kind of dead ferret or something. I love my leather jacket.
I can't wait till Christmas. Man, I'm excited.
Gotta go eat a bagel! Ciao!
