So, several things to talk about today. Number 1, Maria's musical! (yes, her six lines stole the show). Got there at seven, entered a draw for an Anne of Green Gables doll (apparently I didn't win, that saddens me) and we saw Katherine so she came and sat beside us. My parents and Stacey came with me, by the way. Anyhoo, Gilbert came out and sang Wondrin' in much the same style as Roland would, and Stacey and I were fighting the whole time to keep the laughter in. He sang it three times, so that was triple the hilarity. What else...the crew guys seemed to be having fun...there was a curtain guy who kept adjusting them in the middle, and then when he was opening them he would run and slide, pulling the curtain open. Then there was a guy who spent about two minutes adjusting a tablecloth. What else was funny...Katherine burped and I couldn't stop laughing. At intermission I spilled my orange juice and we just put napkins on the chair, so it looked like someone peed and then wiped. What else...when Maria came out all three of us couldn't stop smiling, and we were debating making funny faces at her, but we didn't. Stacey said she would yell Maria's name at the end if I would, and I said yes. Everytime we had to clap for a song and Maria sang with the chorus, we would cheer. When she came out for the curtain call, Stacey's like, "yell Maria!" so I did, and then she did right after, but Maria only heard me. Then we were looking for her and we couldn't find her! Katherine asked some girl and we were all looking ALL OVER and then I saw her! The reason I couldn't see her was because I was looking for an ugly pink shirt and she had changed. Katherine gave me House, I watched two discs and I got it on Saturday night.
Today was kind of fun.
French: We had to listen to another Dupuis family thing, and we didn't have the script this time. I had no clue what was going on. Some guy was looking for paper and a pencil, then some guy got a box from Africa, and then he got sick, so what I inferred from that was the box had anthrax in it and he got sick. Then we had this summary and we had to fill in the blanks and Andra and I were trying to fill it in just using our common sense and it was hard.
Bio: It was like Fun Friday but on a Monday! We have to do mini reports on an animal, mine is the moray eel, and we're doing presentations like the biome thingies, which should be exciting. I love bio. It's so exciting.
CW: I think about three people finished their books. (Not including me) I finished mine today, and my illustrations look like they were drawn by a five year old on crack. They are terrible. There are two things I've accepted about myself long ago: I can't write poetry, and I can't draw. Those two aspects of myself can't be changed. I don't think she should be marking the illustrations at all, its creative writing not creative drawing. And she got us to make up the rubrick for her. She's like, "what should we be marking?" and we're like, "well, creativity, blah blah" and then today we were deciding what each thing was marked out of. She's the freaking teacher, why doesn't she decide? Whatever.
Noon: I got Stacey and Naomi to help me colour. It was fun.
Spare: Worked on CW, and Zayne is making plans for my first time getting drunk. Apparently it will be on vodka and pop.
Math: Mr. Farrell talked for 45 minutes about drugs. I am dead serious. Also, when we got into his room it was super hot, and the thermostat was cranked to above 30 degrees.
Here is my tentative Christmas list, for anyone who cares:
X-Files Seasons 6-9 (If all goes well I'm buying seasons 4 and 5 this weekend)
Bones Season 1
The Thin Man-Dashiell Hammett
The Maltese Falcon-Dashiell Hammett
The Art of War-Sun Tzu
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs-Chuck Klosterman
Screenwriting for Dummies
Songs for Silverman songbook
That looks like a lot, but as you can see, five out of eight are books, and three out of five are educational, so really, it's just enriching my mind.
Anyway, I'm going to go now and practice geetar (here's hoping that Craig can't come tomorrow because of a blizzard!) The typing keeps freezing, so that is quite confuzzling. Ciao!
