Work Day Number Four

So I worked today. I made 21.70 in tips which is the best so far. For about an hour when I started there was nothing to do, and then I was crazy busy from four to 10. I started cleanup about half an hour late because it was so busy. I skipped sweeping under the tables and just vacuumed (I'm such a rebel)
I had really eclectic customers today: a Hutterite family, and the mom was about 10 years older than the dad and the son had little suspenders, an American trucker who tipped me in American, a French couple who said "moi" really funny, and a couple of bikers, who were really scary.
I only had maybe two conflicts with the cash register, and one wasn't even my fault. I had a table of five guys who ordered two lasagnas, two cutlets, a fish and chips, and two pizzas. They also ordered a crapload of different drinks, and kept getting different ones. It was SO HARD to keep track of. But I did it. I even remembered to give them the soup and the dessert! Usually I forget the dessert but luckily not many people order the entres, so its not usually a problem.
I was working with a new cook today named Delores. I like working with her because sometimes she brings the food out and she actually washes her own dishes and mine too if I'm too busy. Rita also washed some of my dishes, which was nice. Her son came in and was like "is Dodi working?" and I"m like "um...I don't think so..." and he's like "that's weird...are you sure Dodi isn't working?" and I'm like "yeah..." and then he started to walk away and I was like "Delores?" and it was. I got a couple phone calls asking for different people that I didn't know so I had to ask Rita who they were. Some guy phoned asking for a party size pizza or something but we didn't have it and he said he'd call back but he didn't. Still trying to figure out if it was a prank or not.
The Devil Wears Prada is a really really good book. I would recommend it.
Gotta go. Ciao
