Bet you thought I was gonna say lawyers huh? But no, I say dentists.
What? You say. Dentists are a valuable part of our society, protecting and repairing our teeth.
THEY CAUSE BEAUCOUP PAIN!
But you say that pain at the dentist is overrated?
WELL YOU HAVE NEVER HAD SEVEN FILLINGS DONE AT THE SAME TIME!
I had to be impaled with the needle four or five times, twice in the roof of my mouth, which is not pretty, I assure you. And I'm not sure if this is just a problem for me, but at the dentist my epiglottis or something sort of obscures the opening to my windpipe so it feels like I can't breathe, and its rather uncomfortable. That's the worst part, I think. I'm a trooper, I can take the needle. I can't take the sensation of feeling like I have the potential to pass out from lack of air at any second.
Then there's the part of having your own spit all over your face from the drills and stuff. And the weird drill that makes you feel dizzy if the dentist presses too hard on it. (is that just me?)
I didn't get a sticker this time, however, I did get a pencil (big whoop, I only like mechanical pencils). Anyway, the dentist is not good for your personal health. For one whole hour, my knees were shaking and I was all tense and stiff. Good thing I got that new Pilates book. Anyway, I was drugged up on freezing stuff and then got home and took two Tylenol, watched some TV, ate lunch (which was not enjoyable, partly because I couldn't taste it and partly because its really hard to keep anything in your mouth when you're all numb!) and then zonked out for two hours, which made me feel amazingly better. I think I'm gonna go up and have a bath soon and then I will be back to normal. I didn't get the evil hygeinist from Hell though, so that was pretty good. I didn't get the really nice one I had last time, but I had a pretty good one. Oh yeah, and when I got home I couldn't even listen to music because loud noises made my face hurt. But I'm back to normal and rocking out to Ben Folds Five.
So anyhoo, that was my dentist visit. Hope you all enjoyed my rather vivid recount of it. As no one gets quite the dentist experiences that I have, I thought I'd share it with all my fans (all like, one of them. Holla to Heidi!!)
Ciao homeslice!
