"Jimmy, rocks!" "You bet I do!"

Okay, I'm reading an awesome book called Life Expectancy and it's by Dean Koontz who I usually don't read but mom told me it was a good book and I needed something to read so I started it and I love it so much! Here are some choice quotes:
Okay, this guy in a hummer was pushing Jimmy (the narrator) and Lorrie (his pregnant wife) down a hill so he was steering around stuff and trying to keep from crashing so Lorrie was yelling stuff like "tree! Deer!" and then she's like "Jimmy, rocks!" and he's like "you bet I do!"

"Lorrie's confidence must have improved too, for she broke the tense silence in which we had thus far ascended: 'There's something I have to tell you that I would have regretted not telling you if we had died here tonight.'
'That I'm a love god?'
'Guys who think they're love gods are arrogant twits. You...you're a snuggle puppy, but if I'd died without telling you that I wouldn't have had any regrets.'

So Lorrie's having her baby but refuses to swear from the pain because the baby will think it's unwanted, so she says the nice words instead.
"Strawberries, sunshine, seashells," she said, hissing the sibilants with such intensity that someone who spoke no English would have been convinced that she wished pestilence, disease, and damnation on a hated enemy."
"The orderly, a freckled young man named Cory thought Lorrie had descended into delirium when trading Explorer for wheelchair, she snarled in rapid succession 'geraniums, coca-cola, kittens, snow geese, Christmas cakes and cookies,' with such fervency that she scared him. On the way inside I explained to him about welcoming the baby tot he world by trading curses for words of beauty and bounty but I think I only succeeded in making him a little afraid of me too.'
