Maria sent me a Father's Day ecard. It made my day. I didn't know if my daughter loved me. I LOVE YOU SWEETIE!!
Anyway, yesterday we played Hand and Foot, and Grandma and I lost. I did get a concealed black kanasta, which was nice. And when we melded at 150 I got three jokers (which equals 150, for the uninformed) I am sure most of you have no idea what I'm talking about. And I also found out something nice...Amanda likes cards! None of my friends do (at least, I don't think so. Jessica doesn't)
I'm in the library right at the moment. Good thing there are no old men who like the Beatles here (ha ha Danielle). When Danielle and I were here before, we were looking at biographies, which were right by the computers, and I'm like "who's Randy Bachman?" and this guy was like "he's a Canadian musician" or something, and then Danielle was like "who likes Ringo?" and this dude was like "I do," really quietly. And then I said something about the Beatles, I can't really remember, and this guy just whipped his head around. DON'T LISTEN TO OUR CONVERSATIONS YOU PERV!!!" And he was reading Yesterday, which is a bio of the Beatles, and is really sutpid (I took it out cuz he left it there). The first line is "Dear Michelle: I sold the last piece of wood in the woodpile today." And the rest was just as stupid. He was writing in his journal as if he was writing to a fictional fan and it was stupid!!!
Anyway, Amanda and I went to the theatre yesterday and saw Batman Begins. It was really really good! The psychiatrist or whatever he was, was hot!! But he was really twisted and goes insane in his own asylum. And my favorite line came when Batman was trying to stop the villain and the bad guy was all like "now if you'll excuse me, I have a city to destroy." My absolute favorite line of the whole movie. And the plot is that these guys are trying to poison Gotham City by putting this drug in the water and then vaporizing it so it goes in the air, and Rachel was saving this kid, and I thought he said "are you chewing gum?" and I was like "this kid is being poisoned and he's wondering if this girl is chewing GUM?" But it turns out that he was looking at Batman and was like "told you he'd come!" It was funny. And first you think that this Mafia guy is the villain, then the psychiatrist, but it turns out to be a WHOLE DIFFERENT PERSON! (sorry for ruining it for everyone). But yeah, it was way better than the other superhero movies I've seen (Daredevil, Superman, Spiderman 1 and 2, and X Men 1 and 2)
Amanda and I wanted to get there early to get a good seat, but there were like ten people in the whole theatre.
